DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (28 January 2008) - After 24 hours and over 2,300 miles of intense racing competition at the World Center of Speed, the No. 09 Spirit of Daytona Porsche-powered Fabcar crossed the Daytona International Speedway finish line just after 1:30 PM on Sunday morning to take tenth in the Daytona Prototype class. The result marked the best result for a Porsche-powered Daytona Prototype in the 2008 running of the famed event.

Rolex Series GT class Rolex 24 At Daytona polesitter Sylvain Tremblay finished what he started Sunday by taking the checkered flag with his SpeedSource co-drivers Nick Ham, David Haskell and Raphael Matos in the No. 70 Mazdaspeed Castrol Syntec Mazda RX-8 at Daytona International Speedway. The quartet also finished ninth overall in the race. |

Steve Reinhard drove his Wilson Manifolds equipped 2000 Camaro Z28 to victory at the 2007 Hot Rod Magazine Pump Gas Drags at Memphis Motorsports Park, Memphis Tennessee. The Hot Rod Pump Drags is an invitational, meaning that the Hot Rod staff handpicks the cars that participate. This year there were over 300 entries of which 75 were chosen. Each competitor must complete a 30 mile drive with mandatory checkpoints from the start point at Comp Cams to Memphis Motorsports Park. All cars are checked for license, registration and insurance and that all the street equipment worked. Once they arrive each car is allowed one pass to qualify for the 32-car field. Qualified racers run heads up with a Pro Tree. |
