's pavement, winning his second straight race and third overall at his hometown facility. This time it was Pedregon on the losing end in the final as Hight's 4.861 at a blower-belt-tossing 284.39 mph in the Auto Club of Southern California Ford Mustang defeated Pedregon's 4.879 at 322.50 mph in his Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet Impala SS. |

LAS VEGAS, Feb. 6, 2008 -- With preparation for the beginning of the new NHRA season entering its final few hours, 2006 POWERade champion Jason Line parked his Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and crossed the Boulevard to Nellis Air Force Base to take a Tuesday afternoon ride with the USAF Thunderbirds. Line, a former senior airman in the Air Force said, "it was the opportunity of a lifetime and an exhilarating experience I'll never forget."

We are sad to inform our friends and customers that on Saturday, December 15th we lost one of our own. Patrick Guy Heywang, 33, was a passenger in a lethal car accident Sunday December 9th which resulted in the death of another driver and left Pat clinging to life and on life support. Pat underwent several surgeries during the past week and remained on life support until Saturday night when he finally succumbed to his injuries.
